Phase 2 Foodie Pics

Here you will find pictures of some of my favorite meals on Phase 2 for inspiration. Sometimes changing the way we eat sounds like “not eating anything” to our
subconsciousconscious mind. Albeit there is definitely a period of time of adjustment away from the “super size” world of food America is prone to, when you realize that you can fill a whole plate with healthy food AND feel satisfied AND lose weight, I will be ready to help you!

This is one of my favorite meals. It is more than filling and can be done a number of ways to suit your taste. It's called Chicken Apple Slaw and made with green cabbage, honey mustard vinaigrette, granny smith apple and Wasa breaded chicken breast pieces. Yum!

Burger (with Wasa cracker), asparagus, salad with honey mustard vinaigrette and apples.

This is steak with grilled onions, asparagus, apple and wasa.
Buffalo shrimp tacos with fresh pico de gallo, side salad with strawberries, cucumber and strawberry vinaigrette dressing, Wasa with strawberries and STILL strawberries left over!
Steak salad with strawberries, red onion and strawberry vinaigrette dressing. Saved the leftover strawberries to put on top my Wasa cracker later in the evening because the salad was so filling!
Grilled tilapia with my signature seasoning (garlic powder, salt & pepper, crushed red pepper), asparagus soup, side salad with strawberry vinaigrette dressing. For dessert, strawberries on Wasa cracker.

Taco salad with spicy beef and fresh made pico de gallo. Half an orange and Wasa cracker for dessert. I ate the rest of the orange later that evening because I was stuffed at dinner!
Buffalo chicken eaten on celery (which I hated before I detoxed with the Omni Drop Program), Wasa cracker to finish off the rest of the chicken, and an orange.
Grilled tilapia with fresh strawberry salsa, asparagus, strawberry vinaigrette side salad and a Wasa cracker.
On nights that I have been particularly filled at dinner time, I save my apple and Wasa for the evening to make Omni Apple Crunch. One apple sliced and sprinkled with stevia and cinnamon, then covered with crushed wasa which is also sprinkled with stevia and more cinnamon. Baked at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes....yum and satisfying, especially if you are craving something warm!

Homemade meat sauce made with ground turkey, tomatoes, onions, fresh garlic and water. The sauce is on top a bed of boiled cabbage and served with a side of wasa. I ate the evening's apple for snack later because I was stuffed! It's important to pay attention to how full you are. If you're full - save what is left for later when you get a little hungry again. Eating it because it's on the plate is not a healthy plan!

Grilled tilapia, fresh Tomato/Onion/Cucumber salad, an apple, Omni IV and Wasa for dinner.

Seriously? 2 plates of food! Strawberry vinaigrette salad on the left, tilapia, strawberries and wasa on the right. Flavored the LaCroix with berry flavored stevia drops!

Burger (made with 1/2 of a whole grain Wasa) with butter lettuce "bun", tomato and red onion, roasted radish "chips" with cracked black pepper and sea salt, an apple. This was very satisfying!
So this is a new take on stir-fry, taco style! First, I browned my ground beef with fresh minced garlic, then added in taco spices (cumin, salt/pepper, red pepper flakes, chili powder, onion powder), and added a little bit of water so that the spices could be absorbed by the meat. Then I added the thinly shredded cabbage to the meat mixture and sautéed until the cabbage was warm and a little wilted. Then I topped it with fresh tomato and onion salsa. It was delish and totally nixed my cravings for salty food!

I suggest not eating cabbage more than once in a day, and definitely not three meals in a row (not sure why, but the scale just doesn't like the repetition it seems). But, this is sautéed cabbage and 1/4 of a granny smith apple, with fresh minced garlic and  a little bit of fresh lime juice and salt/pepper and crushed red pepper flakes. On the side are shrimp with similar seasonings and the rest of the apple (and Wasa of course). Yum!

Homemade Vidalia Onion Vinaigraitte

Eating both meals out today, so I'm packed up and ready to be successful on protocol!

Baked chicken, boiled radishes, apple and wasa!

P2 Hamburger, asparagus, side salad with honey mustard dressing and an apple.

Grilled chicken, roasted onions and radishes, orange and Wasa.

My favorite summer salad - especially easy and yummy for packing in a lunchbox. Sliced up English cucumbers (they are seedless, more cucumber flesh for the buck), red onion, tomatoes, salt & pepper, garlic salt.

Stevia is convenient, especially when you are looking for flavor. However, I prefer Xylitol on most days. It looks like sugar, has no aftertaste, and measures equally to sugar in recipes. It is a STAPLE on P3 when you can bake!

Sliced strawberries sprinkled with Xylitol on Wasa. Quick and easy breakfast or snack. Depending on the size of the strawberry, you only need 1-2...sometimes when I am off my routine, I will eat this for breakfast and still have plenty of strawberries for my meal or snack times later.

Buffalo chicken with celery - one of my personal favorites, hot or cold. Makes a good picnic or cold lunch item as well.

Stay tuned - more to come!
